Meet the Team: Evan Atwood Director | Co-Producer I oversee the creative team of filmmakers that’s putting this film together. Sometimes it’s working to communicate a specific set of visual parameters and inspirations for an area, and other times it’s experimenting with shots and design elements imaginatively. It’s everything from shot compositions, how light works in a scene, and all the elements in a scene — props and set pieces — that I consider. But my job overall is to make sure people who specifically manage each of these areas (props, costumes, etc.) understand the specific vision, for the overall film, and for the moments in the film that they’re working on. I also wrote the script, with Lukas Irizarry, because I found there is a powerful mystery in the area of memory. Why is something so valuable that we remember it for years or even decades? And then conversely, why do we say to some things or people — “forget you”? The idea of Christopher, the main character, having lost something so precious that he’ll do anything to rediscover it is powerful to me. And a lost Father who might be found makes a powerful story. I’m most enthusiastic about seeing the ending of the film. It all leads up to... well, I won’t say what happens, I suppose. But I can’t wait for the build up to it throughout the course of Acts 1 and 2, and then the last chance effort for Christoper to try to reunite with his Father in Act 3... I’m excited about finding the imagery and moments in the actors’ expressions of their characters, and weaving all those things together to make a powerful ending.
